Terrible Loss of a 'Great'


  What happened to Junior Seau ( A former football star and well respected athlete) the other day was a terrible and heartbreaking loss to all sport and physical enthusiasts. He was found in his home diciest from a gun shot wound to the chest. Investigations are ongoing and believed to be a suicide. Some believe to correlate concussions and brain injuries to depression and negative life long health.




Tiaina Baul "Junior" Seau, Jr., was an American football linebacker. A ten-time All-Pro and 12-time Pro Bowl selection, Seau was a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team.
He played college football at the University of Southern California. He was drafted fifth overall by the San Diego Chargers during the 1990 NFL Draft. A key player on the franchise's only Super Bowl team, Seau played 13 seasons for the Chargers and was later inducted into the Chargers Hall of Fame. He also played for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, and retired from pro football in 2010.

Depression hurts and we may not realize those who suffer from it around us. Everyday, we should cherish those around us and show love for everyone in a positive manner.  As teachers, it is important to recognize issues in children's lives and have a positive influence in those student's lives.
